Random Drug and Alcohol Screening is a monitoring service designed to help participants demonstrate ongoing accountability and compliance with program requirements. At Counseling Plus Inc., rapid drug and alcohol screening is used as part of education, treatment, recovery monitoring, and other referral-based programs to support participant progress and encourage continued abstinence.
These screenings are not intended to diagnose substance use disorders or serve as forensic testing. Instead, they provide an objective tool for monitoring participation and supporting treatment goals when required by a court, probation officer, employer, treatment provider, or other referring agency.
Counseling Plus Inc. performs CLIA-waived rapid drug and alcohol screening in a professional, respectful, and confidential environment. Services are available by appointment and may be coordinated with your assigned program requirements.
Who Needs This Service?
You may need random drug and alcohol screening if it is required as part of a substance use education or treatment program, recovery monitoring plan, probation, court order, employer requirement, licensing agency, or another referral source.

How the Process Works
Your screening appointment is scheduled according to your program requirements or referral instructions.
During your visit, our staff will explain the collection process and answer any questions before the screening is completed. Rapid drug and alcohol screening is performed using CLIA-waived testing devices in accordance with established office procedures.
Results are reviewed as part of your ongoing program monitoring. When authorized by you or required by your referral, documentation may be provided to your counselor, probation officer, attorney, employer, or other authorized party.
How Long Does It Take?
Most screening appointments are completed in approximately 10 to 20 minutes.
The frequency of testing varies depending on your individual program requirements, referral source, clinical recommendations, or monitoring plan. Some participants may complete screenings weekly, biweekly, monthly, or on a random schedule.
Appointments are scheduled to minimize wait times while maintaining program integrity and confidentiality.
Who Accepts It?

If a screening result raises concerns or additional follow-up is recommended, your counselor or referring agency will discuss the appropriate next steps based on your individual circumstances and program requirements.
